Lecturer
PSY1583 Quantitative Analysis in Psychology
University of Quebec in Outaouais
Semester: Fall
Offered in 2021, 2022
Scales of measurement. Descriptive and inferential statistics: nonparametric and parametric. Univariate analyses. Rationale for the use of these methods in various research designs in psychology. Training in statistical software to apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on laboratory workshops.
360_4G0 Communication, Laws and Ethics
Cégep de l’Outaouais
Semester: Winter and Spring
Offered in 2022 (3 times)
Within the same course, the student applies the skills acquired in communication, professional ethics, and legal obligations through simulations. The student develops their ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues in common professional situations, while taking into account the characteristics of the users they are addressing. The student learns to work and collaborate effectively within a team, using problem-solving and conflict management strategies, and demonstrating behaviors that foster positive team dynamics. The student is able to distinguish and assess the consequences of various offenses, criminal acts, and infringements of intellectual property in the field of computing. They understand their legal obligations and know how to respond in such situations. The student recognizes the rules of professional ethics that apply to them and adopts behaviors that demonstrate respect for these standards.

Workshop 1 — Fighting Inequalities in Pain: A Scientific Approach
Cégep de l’Outaouais
Offered in 2025 (4 times)
I co-created this workshop that introduces participants to the scientific process and its relevance for understanding and addressing inequalities in pain communication and treatment. Through interactive activities and examples, it explains what science is, how knowledge is generated and validated, and why cultural, racial, and gender factors matter in the communication and evaluation of pain. The session also highlights findings from cross-cultural research and discusses their implications for healthcare and public services.
Workshop Natural language processing with BERTopic and Word2Vec.
Visual and Social Perception Lab, University of Quebec in Outaouais
Offered 1 time in 2025
I led this workshop to introduce participants to modern natural language processing methods. The session covered topic modeling with BERTopic and semantic representation with Word2Vec, combining theory with hands-on exercises in preprocessing, embedding generation, topic extraction, and interpretation for research applications.
Seminars on 3D stimuli creation with FaceGen and Fantamorph.
Visual and Social Perception Lab, University of Quebec in Outaouais
Offered in 2020, 2021
I created these seminars to train students and colleagues in the creation of realistic 3D facial stimuli. Participants learned how to generate customizable faces with FaceGen and apply morphing techniques using Fantamorph to produce dynamic stimuli for experimental research.
Matlab programming basis for psychophysical applications.
Visual and Social Perception Lab, University of Quebec in Outaouais
Offered in 2018
I offered a workshop series introducing Matlab programming for psychophysical applications. The sessions covered essential foundations such as matrix algebra, indexing and search functions, data visualization, and the use of functions, scripts, and loops. The training concluded with applied practice using Screen, a tool widely used in psychophysics research.
